Plan of Salvation

God created man to live forever and to have close fellowship with Him. But man lost his relationship with God. In John 3:3, Jesus talking to Nicodemus, said in order to get into the kingdom of Heaven (in order to get back into relationship with God), a man must be "born-again".

Because of Adam's transgression 5,000 years ago, death came into the spirits of ALL men. Romans 3:23 says, "For all have sinned and come short of the Glory of God."

Here is the good news, though. II Corinthians 5:21 says, "For He hath made Him (Jesus) to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him." He paid the penalty for our sin. He paid the debt with His own life. He was our substitute. Paul, inspired by the Spirit, in Galations 2:20, said he was crucified with Christ. We must understand that in the mind of God, Jesus' death was our death. He took our place.

But that's not all. He was raised from the dead. He was the first man ever to be born-again from the dead. The claims of justice had been satisfied and man could be free from the dominion of sin if he chose to be. The penalty for man's transgressions had been paid.

The Bible says in II Cor. 5:19 (Amplified version) that it was "God (personally present) in Christ reconciling and restoring the world to favor with Himself not counting up and holding against (men) their trespasses (but canceling them)." In other words, God has already forgiven you of your sins. the sin that the sinner is guilty of is the sin of unbelief or rejection of the Lord Jesus. John 16:8-9.

Now by believing on Jesus and confessing Him as Lord according to Romans 10:9-10, you receive His life into your spirit. You become identified with Him, Made one with Him in the spirit. Your spirit is also resurrected from a dead state. You become a new creature. II Cor 5:17 says, "If any man be in Christ he is a new creature, old things are passed away, behold, all things become new" in his spirit. Here is a simple prayer for receiving Eternal Life: Romans 10:9-10 says that "If thou shalt confess (or say) with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hat raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved."

Pray this prayer out loud now for salvation:

Father, in Jesus' name, I repent of my sins, and I believe that Jesus was raised from the dead so that I can now have eternal life. I ask you to forgive me of all my sins. I confess Jesus now as my Lord. On the authority of Your Word, I am now saved. I have eternal life. I will live the rest of my life for you, Jesus.

If you prayed this prayer and meant it, you are born-again, you have eternal life. Now study the New Testament, the epistles especially, and claim the promises that God has promised you. I John 1:9 says that after we are saved, if we sin and confess that sin, then He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Find a good church and submit to that local pastor.
